Re: Fat Cat Motorsports

Yo, Shaikh...I'll be there Saturday for sure, may leave work early Friday and come over. I'll even try to have the coilovers cleaned so you can show 'em off on an NB. They are for sure one fine suspension system.

Room Available at CROT Motorcycle Resort

Before we knew what the Chattanooga Region SCCA autocross schedule was, Casey Tuggle and I booked an apartment at the CROT on his credit card a few months ago for a bunch of us from Scenic City Miatas. However, Casey is running for the club championship this year using my car, and they scheduled an ...

Re: 2009 Miatas at the Gap

I voted yes, even though breaking the tradition does sadden me. As one who makes it a day trip or stays at my cabin over on the Tellico, Fontana does provide a better venue for all of the activities. Other than a parade lap for Killboy to get a photo, driving the Dragon itself isn't high on my list ...

I can second the Bistro. Good food in a nice setting - overlooking the Tellico River and an A+ drive on the Cherohala to get there. I'd be curious to know what the new owners at the Fontana have done with the meals there since taking over; the room itself is very nice with the big stone fireplace an...

Hi guys ...our fuel supplier usually never fills our tanks to the top, which creates an issue at the gas pumps. To make the fuel issue even hotter, the prices we are paying are insane thanks to NC taxes. We are actually making .04 cents a gallon, which means if we have just one drive off(car or bik...

Did Anyone Else Notice the Chill at the CROT This Year?

Or am I just being paranoid? Don't get me wrong, I had a GREAT time this year, as did everyone from Chattanooga who came up for the fun on Saturday. Got to hang out with some great people while waiting for the car to cool down and Permatex to arrive so we could change the valve cover, hitched a ride...

Great work Dan!

WooHoo...engine bay is transformed! Got many serious oohs and aahs as things came together yesterday. It just looks good.

Nothing like getting a great product and making a friend in the process...take care, buddy. I'll see you next year, if not at RSpeed this fall.

Hope it's a high speed parade...I haven't had my Cherohala-at-speed fix yet this year. But yes, it depends on how many actually hang around that long, but while we've had some discussion on the time and route in on Saturday morning, only a couple of people have said they're leaving early.....

Dan - I'm beginning to get a head count and there may be as many as 20 folks from Scenic City joining this group...thought you might want to let the Bistro folks know. See you with tools on my belt come Saturday, it looks like my car will be ready Wednesday or Thursday. Can't wait to get the valve c...

Bunny - The Riverside Grill is actually the porch underneath the Bistro; I think they just opened it this year. I have many photos of Bald River Falls; been fishing the Tellico, as well as the North River and Bald River tributaries since my family moved here in 1965. We have a cabin above the falls ...

Photo Shoots and TVA Dams

Hi folks, I'm going to paraphrase an old post that got lost in the great server crash of nought '05. As a former employee of the Tennessee Valley Authority's Corporate Communications staff, I promise I'm not trying to be a downer here, but a bit of history might help explain things to some of the fo...

Get together while in Chattanooga area?

This may not work out - but would your folks be interested in getting together for dinner that evening as you get into Chattanooga and Cleveland? I'd bet some of the Scenic City Miata folks could be coaxed into an evening out. Also, for your driving pleasure on Wednesday, may I suggest you PM me for...

I recall you had a blast! And better to learn trailing throttle oversteer in an empty parking lot than on the Dragon...I got a reminder there a couple of years ago - that's why the texture of my nose paint is a bit, ah, different than the rest of the car. See you in July - I'll be the one under the ...

Seriously, I'd like to preorder for a 1.8 2002 - that's gotta be VVT. Can you do a credit card beforehand and do you have some sample pix on a web site somewhere so I could decide on a color?

Thanx,
